POINTING TO
PROGRESS 2024

NATIONAL LGBTQIA+ SECTOR CAPACITY REPORT

Image: Andra C Taylor Jr.

Pointing to Progress 2024 is Australian-first research by Pride by Side to understand and uncover the capacity strengths and challenges of the LGBTQIA+ sector.

Many organisations, initiatives, and projects are working towards improving the lives of queer people and communities. We know there are capacity gaps, but without robust data, we can't be sure to what extent.

Pointing to Progress and its insights aim to:

Support LGBTQIA+ initiatives in understanding their own capacity strengths and weaknesses.

Underpin advocacy efforts that build the capacity of LGBTQIA+ initiatives.

Build funders' understanding of resourcing challenges and opportunities.

Uncover opportunities for both intra and extra-sector collaboration and contribution.

Create longitudinal insight into the shifting capacity needs of LGBTQIA+ organisations.
